The Warringah Mall Library features a variety of facilities and services, as well as plenty of activities and events!

Social Scrabble

When:
Every Monday
Time: 10am - 12pm

Join us for a friendly game or two with a tea in hand.

Come with friends or make some new ones - scrabble and games will be arranged in groups of three or four. Don't worry if you've not played before, we'll show you how! Various board games, tea and biscuits provided.

JUNE

Billy the Bandicoot Story Time

When:
Thursday 27 June
Time: 1pm - 1:45pm

This is Billy the Bandicoot. Billy and his family live in our backyards and in the bushland on the Northern Beaches. Billy is very shy, but he wants to come and tell you a story. A story about all his friends who also live in our backyards and bushland.

Suitable for children aged 2 to 6 years old, with an accompanying parent or guardian.

Local Author: Kirsty Nancarrow

When:
Sunday 30 June
Time: 11:15am - 12:15pm

Kirsty Nancarrow is an award-winning journalist and business owner (eMotion Video Training & Production) who grew up in Sydney and now lives in Cairns. She started her journalism career in Sydney and went on to work for the ABC for 15 years, including several periods working for ABC News and Current Affairs in Sydney. During that time she interviewed Som Tamang for the ABC after the 2015 Nepal earthquake and was inspired to write his biography after volunteering for a month in his village, Batase, Nepal. She founded Women in Media Far North Queensland and has served on the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance Federal Council.

Books will be available for purchase on the day. Payment via cash or card transaction.

JULY

2024 Bookmark Design Competition

When:
Sunday 6 - 21 July

How to entry:
Pick up an entry form from your local library from Saturday 6 July. Once you have created your design, submit your entry to the library by Sunday 21 July.

Six winners will receive a prize pack. Runners-up will receive a prize. All winners and runners-up will have their bookmark designs printed and available in our Libraries, including an exhibition at all Libraries during the Spring School Holidays.

Winners and runners-up will be contacted in August.

The competition is open to ages 18 and under.

Code4Fun

When:
Wednesday 10 - Intermediate
Time: 11am - 12pm

Whether you're brand new to coding or have some experience, we have the workshop for you with Code4Fun offering both Beginner and Intermediate sessions at the Library these School Holidays.

Crafternoons

When:
Friday 12 and Friday 19
Time: 3:30pm - 4:30pm

These school holidays let your imagination and creativity loose in the library and see what you can create!

Drop in to your local library where a quick craft will be created each week. Drop into the sessions below for fun, themed creative activities for children to enjoy.

Aged 8 to 12 years old with an accompanying parent or guardian.
