Growing up as a Greek immigrant in a western suburb of Sydney, Australia, Napoleon Perdis longed for what was furthest from his daily reality. He dreamt of glamour, fashion and all things luxury. As a result Napoleon emerged with a life destination; to be a makeup artist, helping bring out everyone's inner celebrity and transform runway beauty to reality.
Upon realising his dream of becoming an international makeup artist to the stars, Napoleon's next move was to create a cosmetics range and training schools - in 1995 he debuted his line of colour cosmetics along with his first Concept Store and Makeup Academy in Paddington. Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics are now available in nearly 600 locations in Australia and New Zealand. In the US an alliance with Saks Fifth Avenue has been an overwhelming success, and the brand continues to cause a stir with a roll out across 16 stores in 2005/06 including New York, Beverley Hills, and Las Vegas.
