Typical Star is a fresh Australian fashion label that is quickly building a reputation for quirky, stylish, sassy and affordable clothing. Typical Star is for the 'it' girl who wants to express herself creatively, the designs perfect to help release the star that is inside all of us.
The creative design genius behind the label is Laura Nagy. Dynamic, innovative and passionate, Laura started her career when she won a Fashion Design Competition through University of Technology’s Fashion Design Studio in 2005, at age 20, her next move being to head design for Typical Star.
Laura loves working with off the wall ideas, concepts, colour, fabrics and textures, and completely immerses herself in the world of infinite sketches and designing to ensure that each and every single piece in the collection has a Typical Star uniqueness and signature.
Within just 2 years of its conceptions, the label is now stocked both Australia-wide and in South Africa, New Zealand and China. This month, a flagship store will open in Pudong District, Shanghai. It’s a hybrid boutique selling Australian fine wines, coffee and Typical Star Aussie design fashion.
